Treasurer of PMK unit arrested

DHARMAPURI: Dharmapuri Land Grabbing Special Cell police have arrested the Pattali Makkal Katchi’s district treasurer Jayalakshmi and her husband Balu in a land grabbing case on Tuesday.Police said G Sennakesavan of B Thurinchipatti had executed a power of attorney to Balu of Nedumaran Nagar and received `2 lakh against his 4,376 sq ft of land in 2010. Later, he returned `2.80 lakh with interest  to Balu and asked him to cancel the power of attorney.Sennakesavan was shocked to see his land covered with fencing. He later found that the land had been registered in the name of his wife Jayalakshmi. Based on a complaint, Jayalakshmi and Balu were arrested.
