Tiger just a fallen icon, not sporting cheat

Unlike Agassi, Tiger didn't lie about a failed drugs test.

New Delhi: The Tiger Woods saga has made more money for websites around the world than even the death of pop superstar Michael Jackson. But as more women and more muck emerges with each passing day, is Woods really the villain he is being made out to be or a victim of a media storm?

So far Joslyn James was just another name in the seedy world of pornography but now she is an international celebrity after she became the 11th woman to emerge from the Wood-work.

Another of the alleged mistresses has had her moment in the sun. Jaime Grubbs, a cocktail waitress, took the high road in a well coached, made for TV moment apologising to Tiger's wife.

"I have no words to explain what I've done to her and her family. I guess, I would be deeply sorry for never considering her during the whole process. Him not brining her up was just a way for me to pretend that he didn't have one and for me not to deal with it," said Jamie.

As Tiger's infamy grows, the vultures are swirling around the carcass - the so called mistresses, all have tell all stories for the highest bidder as tabloids around the world feed off the story.

Another woman Mindy Lawton claims to have had sex with Tiger in the garage of his house.

The raging storm threatens to wipe away more than just Tiger's reputation as sponsors, who used his appeal across age groups have already started walking away.

Tiger himself is contemplating running away from it all and live on a private island.

Even in the usually tightly knit golfing world, he is losing friends.

"She (Tiger’s wife Elin) should have used a driver instead of a 3 iron," said golfer Jesper Parnevik about the incident where Elin reportedly hit Tiger with a golf club.

The big question is if Tiger deserves to be judged in this way?

His golfing achievements seem to have been forgotten.

Unlike former South African cricket team skipper Hansie Cronje, Tiger didn't fix matches.

Unlike former sprinter Marion Jones, Tiger didn't take performance enhancing drugs to win Olympic medals.

Unlike former tennis player Andre Agassi, Tiger didn't lie to his governing body about a failed drugs test.

He is a fallen icon but did Tiger Woods ever claim to be superhuman?

What's your reaction?
