Three die in stove burst

KEONJHAR: Three persons of a family died in stove burst at Jurudi village under Bamebari police limits late on Monday night.The deceased have been identified as Mitu Devi Mahanty (25) and her two children Smriti Kumari (5) and Swati Kumari (19 months). The incident occurred when Mitu was preparing dinner. While Mitu died on the spot, the two kids were shifted to Tisco hospital, Joda where they succumbed to their injuries.
Locals, however, alleged that it was a case of murder with fingers pointing at Mitu's husband Sanjay, a businessman. He was reportedly unhappy after the birth of two daughters. A case has been registered and the police are investigating the matter.
