Three judicial officers of Bihar may lose their jobs with a full court of the Patna High Court recommending action against them for allegedly indulging in "immoral activities".
When contacted, Registrar General of the Patna High Court Virendra Kumar confirmed that the meeting of the full court presided over by Chief Justice Rekha M Doshit took place on Saturday and that the issue of the three judicial officers was on the agenda.
A senior government officer said that the High Court has written to the state administration which was looking into it.
The full court meeting had deliberated on the recommendations of a court panel on February 5 for dismissal of the three officers for "immoral activities".
The three were allegedly found with women in a hotel in Nepal during a police raid. They were later released. While one is an Additional District and Sessions Judge, another is a Principal Judge of a family court while the third is a sub-judge.
Sources said that a senior officer of Union Home Ministry had written to the Registrar General of the Patna High Court to bring the matter to the notice of the Chief Justice for action deemed necessary.
