This Telangana Teacher’s Expertise In Writing, Drawing And Music Has Locals’ Attention

A retired language teacher named Dr Samala Rajavardhan from Vidya Nagar colony, Adilabad district, Telangana is currently making headlines for exhibiting his expertise in many subjects. According to Local 18 Telangana, Samala shares a profound passion for writing and drawing. When it comes to writing, he can curate speeches and essays. He can create mesmerising paintings on canvas with chalk pieces, pen, pencil, sketch, and paintbrush. Apart from writing and drawing, Dr Samala also excels in music and literature. He inherited his love for music, literature and other art forms from his father Sadasiva.

Besides having worked as a teacher, Dr Samala Rajavardhan is also a renowned literary figure in the Adilabad district and is a Sahitya Akademi awardee as well. Dr Samala is receiving appreciation from all corners for his creative abilities. He has also dabbled in writing speeches and essays for radio and the music industry. His writings provide an insight into the popular songs of the early days.

His brother Srivardhan, a retired treasury officer, is also inclined towards arts and writes poems. Dr Samala’s third brother Chandrasekhar is working as an advocate in the High Court.

Samala has worked on developing artistic skills by learning different techniques on his own. He has not received any formal training in these forms, especially painting, and practised it with watercolours and oil paints. He is inspired by the prominent Indian painter Raja Ravi Varma. He attained perfection in his art using the paints and brushes used by his father. He likes to use all kinds of colours, that is crayons and other paints for painting. Most of the pictures he has created are portrait figures. Due to his ability to create these remarkable portraits, many people have approached Dr Samala, for creating sketches of their family members and other relatives. Not only this, his creations are being offered as gifts on the retirement of officers and employees, and also for auspicious deeds.
