They may not be the Khans and Kapoors of the industry but their regime is tougher than any other actor. They may not be every girl’s dream but they are surely every boy’s inspiration. From years, these legendary bodybuilders have created a niche for them in the film industry and there is no denying that a lot of effort has gone into maintaining the image. Let’s take a look at some of the best bodybuilders in the film industry…

The Great Khali

There is a not a single person who may not know about this great wrestler. Khali a.k.a. Dalip Singh Rana has carved a special place for himself in the wrestling field. But in reality, before entering into the world of wrestling, Khali was a police officer in Punjab. Today, his bodybuilding schedule includes daily two hours of weight training, morning and evening. To maintain his size he follows a strict dietary regimen: one gallon of milk, five chickens and two dozen eggs, along with chapatis, juice and fruit. As everyone is aware, Khali will soon be seen in a Hindi film, Kushti as a wrestler along with Rajpal Yadav. The film is set to release on May 14, 2010. Only time will tell if Khali who has done Hollywood films like The Longest Yard and Get Smart is as good an actor as a wrestler.

Dara Singh Randhawa

His name is almost synonymous with wrestling and bodybuilding. Dara Singh has been part of every home through television serials and films like Chameli Ki Shaadi, Mahabharat, King Kong, and his latest stint was in Jab We Met. He had done about 16 films with Mumtaz alone. After his retirement from wrestling, he was inducted into the Wrestling Observer Newsletter Hall of Fame. Recently, his son, Vindu Dara Singh was seen on Bigg Boss Season 3 and is currently doing Chak Dhoom Dhoom on Colors.

Puneet Issar

He is popularly known as Duryodhana based on his famous role in the TV adaptation of the Mahabharata. Puneet began his film career with the Amitabh Bachchan starrer Coolie. He has done more than 200 films as villain. Besides acting he also ventured into direction with Garv starring Salman Khan. Puneet played the 'Indian Superman' which was a spoof on Hollywood movies. Besides all this, he was also seen in television soaps, the recent one being Left Right Left along with Rajeev Khandelwal. Currently, Puneet is busy directing his next film, I am Singh.

Sharat Saxena

The moment you hear the name the first picture that comes to your mind is his film Ghulam with Aamir Khan. Sharat played a negative character in the film and was nominated as the best villain for this role. In spite of continuously doing negative roles, Sharat claims to enjoy playing funny characters as well. His latest stint was on television with the show 100% - De Dhana Dhan on Colors.
