Thangal to decide on Nirmals admission

MALAPPURAM: A special meeting of the management committee of the MEA Engineering College, Pattikkad, has entrusted Muslim League State President Panakkad Hyderali Shihab Thangal, who is also the chairman of the Management Committee, with the responsibility to take a final decision regarding the admission of Nirmal Madhav. After the meeting, which was held at his residence in Panakkad, Thangal said that an appropriate decision on the issue would be taken within two days. “We will examine the technical issues to be addressed during the admission process, before announcing the final decision,” he said. Ministers P K Kunhalikkutty and P K Abdu Rabb, and other management committee members attended the meeting which started around 9.30 am on Saturday.The college belongs to Muslim Educational Association (MEA) under the Samastha Kerala Jamiyyathul Ulama. The management showed discontent on Thursday over the decision to transfer Nirmal Madhavan to the college, saying that they had got no official communication.
