BANGALORE: A software engineer has filed a private case in Loayukta Special Court against his wife, police staff and others for allegedly filing a false case against him which attracts punishment under Prevention of Corruption Act.Thirty eight-year-old Raghu, a resident of Basaveshwaranagar on Saturday, named his wife and three police officials, an office-bearer of Karnataka Badminton Association and an employee of a Postal Department.In the complaint, Lakshmi Devi (PSI- Ashokanagar), Hemanth Kumar (PSI- Bharathinagar), Narayana (Head Constable- Basaveshwaranagar), Sonali Suresh Halkari (wife of Raghu) and DC Venkatesh (Sub-Post Master of Basaveshwaranagar) are named.However, Judge N K Sudheendra Rao posted the case to November 8 and said that he would decide about the admitting the case or not. Raghu alleged that the police have filed false cases against him after his wife bribed them to do and it attracts the Prevention of Corruption Act.Raghu  had married Sonali, a native of Nagpur in 2009. She lived with him just for 22 days and married another man, but filed a dowry harassment case against Raghu with Basaveshwaranagar police. Raghu alleged that he had given Rs 72,000 for her and  she in turn had given that money as bribe to Hemanth Kumar, the then PSI of Basaveshwaranagar to file a chargesheet against him. He also said that he is a member of Karnataka Badminton Association and he has given Rs 75,000 as fees to the association. But his wife Sonali and Sudheer, an office-bearer of the association, misused the money and bribed Lakshmi Devi, the then PSI of High Grounds Police station, to file allegedly a false case against him of threatening, he alleged.
