The Principal Secretary of Personnel and Administrative Reforms Department (Training), V Irai Anbu has said that team work will give exponential results.
He addressed the gathering on the occasion of a training programme for administrative staff of the Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (TANUVAS) here on Monday. Pointing out that the habit of reading would shape an employee into an outstanding worker, he said, “The more you read, the more you will improve your vocabulary. This will reflect while drafting files, wherein you will come out with the best drafts,” he added.
Citing a Sanskrit proverb, he said, a person learns 25 per cent from his teachers, about 25 per cent from fellow students and the other 25 per cent from his own experience. “One should learn till his death and not only till his retirement. Emotional intelligence and intelligence quotient must be high for a person to tackle present day issues,” he stated.
Earlier, in his address, Dr R Prabakaran, Vice-Chancellor, Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University claimed that the university has a good track record of facilitating post retirement benefits for its employees without any hurdles.
According to a press release issued on the occasion, 40 type I and 36 type II administrative staff of TANUVAS are participating in the programme. The training programme is one of the unique programmes offered to administrative staff with an objective of moulding their personalities, improvement in communication and interpersonal skills, capacity building in office administration, procedures in maintaining files, tracking of files, disciplinary matters, conduct rules, financial administration, court procedures, service problems and stress management, the release added.
