New Delhi: The Indian Government has requested that the Pakistani Government look into the gurudwara-land grabbing case which was first aired on CNN-IBN.
India has requested Pakistan to take appropriate remedial action on the sale of land attached to gurdwaras.
CNN-IBN had reported that Pakistan is selling off acres and acres of land which belongs to Pakistan's minority Sikh community. The land belonged to the Gurudwara Deh near the posh locality of Defence Colony in Lahore.
The Pakistan Evacuee Trust Property Board has sold around 150 acres of that land - worth millions - at a throwaway price to the Defence Housing Authority.
All this is in clear violation of Pakistan's own regulations of not putting up for sale the property of any religious place inside the country.
