Tainted Gujarat policemen still at large

Ahmedabad: The Gujarat CID is still searching for the four policemen accused in the Tulsi Prajapati encounter case. Raids in this regard have been conducted in Udaipur in Rajasthan.

Gujarat IPS Officer Vipul Agrawal was arrested last Monday and was remanded to police custody till May 11. Later, two constables were also picked up from Palanpur in Gujarat.

Prajapati was killed in an alleged fake encounter in December 2006, a year after Sohrabuddin was killed in a similar way. Prajapati was a close aid of Sohrabuddin and an eyewitness in the case.

Congress corporator killed

In another case, a Congress corporator Praful Patil has been stabbed to death by three unidentified men in Bhayandar area of Thane district on Saturday.
