Stalin meets Arumugam, Raja in Kovai jail

COIMBATORE : DMK treasurer M K Stalin on Friday visited the party leaders who are under judicial custody at the Central Prison here.
Sources said Stalin spent nearly 30 minutes in the prison and interacted with two senior party leaders Veerapandi Arumugam and NKKP Raja and Chepauk MLA J Anbalagan, who are facing charges of land grabbing and cheating. Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Stalin maintained that the cases against DMK leaders were foisted and the party would face them in the court. "Several people are also lodging land grabbing complaints against AIADMK members. But the police are not registering cases against them. Instead, a compromise is worked out," Stalin said.
