HYDERABAD: Suspended IAS officer Y Srilakshmi, who is currently lodged in the central prison for women, Chanchalguda, was on Monday questioned by the CBI officials in connection with the case related to illegal assets of Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy.Srilakshmi is the second person to be quizzed by the investigation agency in Jagan’s case.The CBI earlier questioned former director of AP Mines and Geology V D Rajagopal in the central prison, Chanchalguda, for two days.The High Court gave permission to the CBI to question the duo for two days.On the first day (on Monday), an inspector rank officer questioned Srilakshmi in the prison for more than five-and-half hours.The grilling which started around 11 a.m went on till 4.30 p.m, sources said.Though a three-member team of CBI officals were allowed to question the IAS officer, only one official turned up for questioning.The grilling will continue tomorrow also, CBI sources said.The CBI wants to question public servants and others who were allegedly involved in giving permissions and sanctions to the businesses of Jaganmohan Reddy
