Srilakshmi challenges rejection of bail plea

HYDERABAD: Suspended senior IAS officer Y Srilakshmi, former principal secretary (industries) and accused in the Obulapuram mining case,  approached the High Court on Monday challenging the dismissal of her bail application by the special CBI court.  The matter is likely to come up for hearing before the vacation court on Wednesday. The CBI arrested Srilakshmi on November 29 last year for her alleged nexus with former Karnataka minister and mining baron Gali Janardhan Reddy in granting mining lease to the Obulapuram Mining Company.  Earlier, the CBI court had granted her bail but the High Court  cancelled it on CBI’s plea.
