Amar Chand, son of Minister of State Ram Sewak Yadav, committed suicide by consuming poison on Saturday at his home in Gangapura village in Basrehar area in Etawah, Circle officer AK Dixit said.
He was rushed to the hospital, where he died during the treatment, he said. Ram Sewak has a Minister of State status in the Akhilesh Yadav government and is also the Chairman of Cane Development Institute.
SP supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav and senior party leaders have condoled Chand's death and SP National General Secretary Ram Gopal Yadav also visited the aggrieved family to pay his tributes.
