Chandrabhan Singh is charged under NSA for a murder case.

Lucknow: Chandrabhan Singh, a Samajwadi Party legislator from Uttar Pradesh, was charged under the National Security Act (NSA) in a murder case, officials said Wednesday.

Currently lodged in the Naini Central Jail of Allahabad, Chandrabhan Singh is one of the accused in the Sant Gyaneswar murder case.

"The properties of Singh and his accomplice, Vanshraj Singh have been attached and the report has been sent to the government Wednesday," a press release from the office of director general of police stated.

Singh is legislator from the Isauli constituency of Sultanpur district.

Singh's associates allegedly attacked the fleet of Sant Gyaneshwar in the Handiya locality of Allahabad in October 2006, killing him and eight others.
