Alleging that the Lokayukta was working to distort his image, he informed he has written a letter to the chief secretary to unfold the truth. “Reports presented before the media have won a wide publication. While the police clandestinely remained silent on the liabilities, glorified facts were given about the assets, which was gained during my service.”The residential property in Jayanagar, allegedly assigned in his name belongs to Uma Basavaraj, sister of former chief minister J H Patel. In his letter, Siddaiah stated that his family’s net worth stood at `1.56 crore.
