The family members of the 31-year-old PG trainee doctor, who was found raped and murdered in the seminar hall of Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College and Hospital on August 9, revealed the unsettling condition in which her body was found. A relative of the family, who accompanied them to the hospital, said her legs were 90 degrees apart. “This cannot happen unless the pelvic girdle breaks, which means she was torn apart. Also, she had no clothes on her body,” the relative said, adding that “it cannot be the work of one person”.
Meanwhile, BJP leader Amit Malviya pointed out there were rumours that elusive suspects in the RG Kar MCH rape and murder case are “closely linked to Mamata Banerjee’s confidant(s) in the ruling Trinamool (TMC)”. Kolkata police, on the other hand, asked people to refrain from making speculations/spread rumours.
Made To Wait Three Hours To See The Body: Family of Deceased Doctor
The family also said they were made to wait three hours outside the building before they could see her body.
The father of the trainee doctor had received a call from the assistant superintendent of RG Kar Medical College. The family said they were initially told that their daughter had died by suicide.

In a conversation with Lallantop, India Today TV’s sister channel, the father of the deceased doctor said, “They (hospital authorities) said our daughter has died by suicide and we must come immediately.”
A relative of the family, who lives in the neighbourhood and went to the hospital with the family, said they were made to wait outside for three hours. “The parents pleaded before them (hospital authorities) to show them their daughter’s face. But still, they were made to wait for three hours,” the relative said.
“After three hours, they allowed the father to go inside and see her body. He was only allowed to click a picture, which he showed us when he came outside. She had no clothes on her body. Her legs were 90 degrees apart… this cannot happen unless the pelvic girdle breaks, which means she was torn apart,” the relative was quoted by India Today as saying.
“Her specs were broken and there were shards of glasses in her eyes. She was choked to death. I am not making this up. This has been proven in the post-mortem too,” she added.

As per the autopsy reports, cut marks were found on the victim’s hands and face. The reports indicated that a brutal blow caused shards of glass from her spectacles to break and enter her eyes. Injuries to the head were also reported, as the accused slammed the deceased’s head against the wall.
While banging her head against the wall, the accused reportedly covered her mouth with pressure, which led to the injury marks on the victim’s face. Worse, the torture didn’t end there as the accused later strangled the trainee doctor to death. According to several reports, doctors also found several injury marks on her private parts thereby indicating rape.
