Seminar on church history held

KOCHI: The seminar on church history organised in connection with the 50th anniversary of reburial of mortal remains of Mar Joseph Kariyatty, the first native bishop in India, was held at Alangad on Saturday.
SyroMalabar Church Laity Commission secretary V C Sebasitian inaugurated the seminar. Addressing the gathering, he said that those who criticise the Church do not know the church history. He also said that more history seminars would be organised to educate the new generation. Alangad St Mary's church Vicar Fr Thomas Puthussery presided over the function. V A Varghese was moderator in the panel discussion. Fr Jacob Palakkapally, KCBC Laity Commission secretary Jose Vithayathil spoke.
