Salims cellphone recovered

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The police here on Wednesday recovered the mobile phone of Salim, who was gruesomely murdered by his friend Sherif, from a vast thicket near the CRPF camp at Pallipuram.The phone was retrieved following the statement given by Sherif, who was handed over to police custody from the judicial custody the previous day. The police even sought the assistance of the CRPF personnel in recovering the mobile phone from the dense thicket. The phone will be sent to the Forensic Scientific Laboratory soon after producing it before the court. Sherif was also taken to the SIM card shop at Kallambalam.Attingal DySP K E Baiju, who is probing the case, said that the police were also probing various conspiracy theories such as the involvement of foreign loan sharks in the murder.
