BANGALORE: “The Union government has reserved Rs 35,000 crore in its 12th five-year plan for skill development,” said Union Corporate Affairs Minister M Veerappa Moily here at the inauguration of ‘Unique Personality Training and Development Centre’ setup by Anushrutha Foundation Trust at Kurubarahalli on Sunday.Speaking at the occasion, Moily said, “Only five per cent of the masses are getting skill development training. In the 12th five-year plan we are aiming to provide skill development training to about 50 per cent through National Skill Development Centre.” Moily observed that Americans are much ahead of us in human resources . He further said that by 2025 even India will reach that state of using their resources effectively. Lauding the efforts of Anushrutha foundation he further said that such training centre are needed.Anushrutha foundation promises to train the unemployed in manufacturing soap, candle, camphor, paper bag, baskets along with computer training, beautician course, photography and videography under one roof. Necessary certificates will be issued after the completion of the training. Along with creating free employment opportunities, the trust also provides free yoga, meditation, de-addiction and counselling programs.Also speaking at the occasion, MLA N L Narendra Babu said that talks are going on to introduce a civil service coaching centre with JSS Institutions.“We provide BPO/Call Centre training for the youths. We also provide training to repair electronic equipments like television, refrigerator and also cell phones,” he said. Labour Minister Bachhegowda, Leader of Opposition Siddaramaiah and Speaker of Legislative Assemble K G Bopaiah were present on the occasion.
