Rescued from hijackers, MT Biscaglia reaches Mumbai
The Biscaglia was hijacked on November 28th.

New Delhi: The crew members of Liberian-flagged chemical tanker MT Biscaglia have reached Mumbai on the morning of Friday.

MT Biscaglia, the ship was hijacked by Somali pirates in the Gulf of Aden late November last year. After nearly two months in captivity. The pirates released the ship with 25 Indian sailors on board last week. There was no word on whether any ransom was paid to the brigands.

The Biscaglia was hijacked on November 28th. It carried 28 crew members and three security guards, two Britons and one Irish national.

The chemical vessel was carrying 16,282 tons of cargo and traveling between Indonesia and Europe when the pirates had hijacked it.
