A pro-Ram Temple group claimed to have performed religious activities inside the disputed Babri Masjid premises on Thursday, which, however, was rubbished by the local administration.

Representatives of the Shri Ram Sewa Samiti claimed that the local administration have granted them permission following which they have installed a Kalash (Urn) after the religious rituals at the shrine of Ram Lalla in the disputed place.

The Supreme Court has restrained any type of religious activities in the acquired land of Babri Masjid and Ram Janma Bhumi.  Only Chief Priest Acharya Satyender Das, appointed by the SC is authorised to complete the formalities of daily prayers at disputed shrine according to Hindu rituals.

However, CO of local intelligence unit, K N Tiwari, denied any such activities inside the disputed premises and said the Samiti has carried on some programme and reached the barrier of Babri Masjid where they were stopped from entering the premises. Following which they installed the Kalash in a nearby temple away from disputed site, Tiwari said.

Chief priest Acharya Satyendra Das also denied of receiving any Kalash to be installed in 'Garbh Grih' where idols of lord Rama is been placed in the disputed site.
