South west monsoon was on Friday active over northern and southern parts of the desert state of Rajasthan with Vallabhnagar recording the maximum rainfall of 9 cm during the last 24 hours.
Barring north-west districts of Jodhpur, Barmer and Jaisalmer, moderate to heavy rainfall was reported from most places in rest of the state.
According to local Met office, the rainfall recorded in cms was: Dungarpur and Kanva 7 cm each, Railmagra 6, Mavli, Devel, Udaipur, Kherwara, Nimbahera, Anta 5 cms each.
Besides this, a number of places in the state received rainfall between 1 to 4 cms.
Jaipur observed intermittent and scattered rains with Amber receiving 31 mm, followed by Kota 23.8 mm till 1730 hrs.
This trough of monsoon will continue during the weekend in the state, a Met forecast said.
