New Delhi: Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi has been exempted from personal appearance till 8th May in Bhiwandi defamation case.

Rahul's advocate filed an application before the Bhiwandi court saying Rahul has taken leave from Parliament. His advocate has assured court that when required he will present himself before the court and he will appear in the next hearing.

Rahul had made an election speech in Bhiwandi where he accused "RSS" of "killing Mahatma Gandhi."
