New Delhi: Actress Priyanka Chopra on Monday filed a caveat in the Supreme Court to not grant relief to her former personal assistant Prakash Jaju without hearing her.
Jaju had filed a criminal complaint against Priyanka and her father Ashok Chopra for issuing criminal threats to him in the Indore Court.
The Judicial Magistrate has already issued a non-bailable warrant against Priyanka's fathe for September 17.
The Madhya Pradesh High Court has given a clean chit to the actress but dismissed the criminal revision petition filed by her father seeking to quash criminal proceedings pending against him at Indore.
Jaju is likely to challenge the High Court's decision giving clean chit to the actress.
Jaju had filed a complaint alleging that Priyanka and her father Ashok Chopra had not paid his dues and when he asked for payment, they intimidated him with dire consequences, in case he persisted with his demand for money.
The dues, according to Jaju, run in a few lakhs of rupees. A court is not supposed to grant any ex parte relief to the petitioner without prior notice to the caveator.
