KADAPA: Chinna Chowk police on Tuesday registered a case against Vigyan Degree College principal Gopinath on the charges that he had slapped a student.According to the police, Abdul Qadir, a B Com first year student, failed to give an answer to a question asked by the English lecturer. She took him to principal Gopinath, who not only admonished Abdul for being irregular to the college and not answering questions, but also slapped him.After being slapped, Abdul started complaining of pain in the ear and when taken to an ENT specialist, the doctor informed that his eardrum got ruptured as someone had beaten him with force near the ear.Assuming that it was caused by the principal’s slap, Abdul’s parents and relatives went to the college on Tuesday and confronted the principal.Later, they went to Chinna Chowk police station and lodged a complain against the principal.
