Police informer killed

JEYPORE: Maoists killed a tribal man, suspecting him to be a police informer, late on Wednesday night. The deceased has been identified as Puala Sadaram of Gualgunda village  under Bandhugam police limits. According to reports, a group of 20 armed Maoists called Sadaram out of his house and slit his throat killing him on the spot. In some posters left behind on the spot, the Maoists claimed that Sadaram was a police informer. Following the incident, police have intensified combing operation in Narayanpatna and Bandhugam areas which are Maoist-infested.
