BANGALORE: Police Commissioner B G Jyothiprakash Mirji inaugurated the second edition of the Police Connect programme and www.policeconnect.org, a community care portal.The programme in collaboration with the Bangalore traffic police and Manthan Systems, informs public about the traffic scenario and efforts taken by the city police to bring change. Commissioner Mirji requested the public to cooperate with the traffic cops to improve the vehicle movement in the city. “With a little cooperation and understanding on part of citizens, it will be a lot easier for the traffic police,” he said.The Police Connect aims to create a common forum, which enables the police and public communicate and thus ease the traffic situation, he added.Additional Commissioner (Traffic) Praveen Sood said one could not imagine the plight of the traffic police.Police have to ease traffic congestion, while at the same time handle vehicular movement, which is increasing without limits, he said.
