Police Complaints Authority office inaugurated

Chief Minister Oommen Chandy on Tuesday inaugurated the office of the Police Complaints Authority, which is dealing with the complaints of the public against police officials.

 The Chief Minister said that the government would take immediate steps to provide necessary infrastructure to facilitate the functioning of the Authority.

 Home Minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan, DGP K S Balasubramanian, Authority chairman K P Balachandran, members K P Somarajan, P Muraleedharan among others were present on the occasion.

 Though the office of the Authority, which had been functioning at the Secretariat, was shifted to the building at Tagore Road at Vazhuthacaud here two months back, the official inauguration was done on Tuesday.
