A complaint dated November 11, 2011 alleging illegal allotment of plots by TN Housing Board to Durai Dayanidhi, son of Union Minister MK Alagiri, among others had been forwarded to the Housing and Urban Development secretary for necessary action, the DSP attached to the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption said in his counter-affidavit filed in the Madras High Court on Monday.
Parvin, wife of former intelligence chief Jaffer Sait, Venkataraman, PA to former Chief Minister M Karunanidhi, L Ganesan, former MP, Yasodha, former MLA are among those who allegedly got plots.
The counter was filed in response to a public interest writ petition from C Selvaraj, president of Association of Transparency and Anti-Corruption in Ullagaram, praying for a direction to the VAC to hold investigation on his November last year complaint.
Petitioner had alleged that the allotments were made based on false affidavits that they/their families did not possess any housing plot/flat/house and on bogus documents claiming that they were either social workers or unblemished government servants. The act of allotment was nothing short of conspiracy, forgery and downright fraud perpetrated by the then ruling party leaders, the petition added.
