New Delhi: It was an emotional moment for Phoolan Devi's sister Munni Devi who broke down while being cross-examined in court on Monday.
The court session was adjourned as Munni Devi was not able to continue with the case after she was shown photos of the slain dacoit-turned-politician.
Additional Sessions Judge V K Bansal adjourned the case for Tuesday.
Munni has been declared a hostile witness by the prosecution for her volte-face from the statement given to the police after the murder.
Earlier, during her cross-examination, 32-year-old Munni, told the court that she was like a daughter to her elder sister and the late Samajwadi Party MP had even helped her husband get a job in Railways.
She, however, did not confirm the fact that her sister was a dacoit and had killed 17 Thakurs in Behmai in February, 1981.
