KANNUR: Defence Minister A K Antony has said that Pakistan should destroy all the 42 terrorist camps operating on its land for maintaining better relationship with India. The Defence Minister said that India’s policy was to maintain good relationship with all its neighbours and Pakistan was no exception. He said that despite the Pakistan stand on the issue, the Government of India would continue to hold talks with the former. The Defence Secretaries of both the nations would meet to continue the discussions on bilateral issues, he said. Antony disclosed that the government was making serious efforts to keep friendly relationship with China. A team of military officials from India will visit China next month as part of the process, he said. Stressing the need to take concrete measures to check piracy which has become a growing threat, the Defence Minister said that the Navy and the Coast Guard could play an active role in finding a lasting solution to this menace. Antony said that it was the Defence Ministry which took the initiative to hold a CBI inquiry into the Adarsh Flat scandal. Antony said that the Indian Coast Guard Academy would be completed in three-and-a-half years.
