New Delhi: The government has reacted to the expose of the brutality and human rights violations being carried out in Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (PoK) by the country’s establishment, demanding that the neighbouring country must allow international human rights agencies to conduct impartial inquiry.
After CNN-IBN exposed Pakistan government's brutality in PoK, the Centre on Wednesday demanded the Pakistan government should allow impartial probe by international human right agencies into the act committed by them.
Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju said, "We have this intelligence input that shows how Pakistan has been suppressing voice in PoK. We demand the Pakistan government to allow international human right agencies to do impartial inquiry about the act committed by Pakistan."
"The whole episode by CNN-IBN has exposed Pakistan, it will do no good for Pakistan to raise Kashmir in UN General Assembly" he said.Rijiju further spoke about Pakistan maintaining double standards which the global community should realise.
Lauding CNN-IBN, Rijiju went on to say, "There is no freedom for people. No media or organisations assess the situation. I must give credit to CNN-IBN for exposing truth before the world."
Earlier on Wednesday, former terrorist Hashim Qureshi also reacted to the video and said that what is seen in the video is not shocking for him as he has endured those hardships.
"It is not shocking for me because I've been through the atrocities and the people are still going through them. Pakistan only talks about issues which are prevalent in Indian part of Kashmir. Pakistani security forces are no better than the British colonialists," Qureshi said.
