Paddy procurement at MSP from November 1

HYDERABAD: Procurement of kharif paddy at the minimum support price would begin on November 1 and about 1,400 Indira Kranthi Patham centres would be set up for the purpose, civil supplies minister D Sridhar Babu said here on Friday.The minister held a review meeting with joint collectors of 10 districts where rice production was high, civil supplies officials and rice millers at the MCR HRD Institute. Sridhar Babu said that production of about 110 tonnes of food grains was expected in the kharif season and necessary arrangements were being made for their procurement
