New Delhi: It's official now. Nokia has finally opened the pre-order booking for its highly-awaited Nokia Lumia 800 phone. The post on the Facebook page of Nokia India reads: "Can’t wait to get your hands on the new Nokia Lumia 800? Be amongst the first to own one", with a link that directs users to the pre-booking page of the Nokia Lumia 800.
People can either pre-order the device online or they can visit any Nokia Priority store to pre-book the device. "The Lumia 800 is available for demo on Nokia priority stores from today," said an official from the Nokia store.
The company, however, has officially announced the pre-order booking for only Nokia Lumia 800, but a Nokia priority dealer that IBNLive got in touch with has confirmed that it has started taking pre-orders for both Nokia Lumia 800 and 710. "People can pre-book their devices by paying the booking amount ranging from Rs 2000 to Rs 5000. In other words, the minimum booking amount is Rs 2000," added the official.
According to the official, the Nokia Lumia 800 will be available sometime between December 10-15, while there is no confirmed date as when the Nokia Lumia 700 will be made available to people.
Nokia has not yet revealed any pricing details for the phones in India. The company had announced the release of its first Windows Phone powered devices - Nokia Lumia 800 and Lumia 710 - in India on November 14.
The Nokia Lumia 800 looks very similar to its N9 handset. It features a 3.7 inch AMOLED ClearBlack curved display and is powered by a 1.4 GHz processor with hardware acceleration and a graphics processor.
It also contains an instant-share camera with Carl Zeiss optics, HD video playback, 16GB of internal user memory and 25GB of free SkyDrive storage for storing images and music.
