No official intimation of death in Naxal attack: Martyrs' family
Family of martyrs have demanded action against the Naxals. The attack on Tuesday claimed the lives of 15 security personnel and 1 civilian.

Meerut: The bodies of three CRPF personnel who were killed in Naxal attack in Sukma reached Delhi late on Wednesday evening and will be sent to their hometowns on Thursday. State funerals will be held for all the security personnel who lost their lives in the attack.

Meanwhile, the family of a martyr claimed that they had not received any official information from the government on the deaths in the incident. "We only found out the news about his death on our own," brother of the martyr Brijpal Singh said.

"My husband gave his life for the country. Some action should be taken against the Naxals," wife of another martyr said.

Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh had on Wednesday paid tribute to the martyrs in Jagdalpur.

In a media briefing later in the day, Shinde had said that the NIA will probe the case and that the deaths would be avenged. He had also stated that although there were intelligence inputs on a possible attack, the ministry didn't know where the attack would take place.

Naxals had on Tuesday ambushed a security team, killing 16 people including a civilian in Jiram Ghati area of Sukma district in Chhattisgarh. The attack took place close to the spot where 26 people, including several prominent leaders of the Congress, were killed by Naxals in May last year.
