Nithari: CBI to file chargesheet
The CBI is all set to file the chargesheet in the serial killings of children and women in Noida’s Nithari village.

New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is all set to file the chargesheet in the abduction and serial killings of children and women in Noida’s Nithari village.

However, reports say that the agency has failed to find adequate evidence against the two accused, Moninder Singh Pandher and his manservant Surendra Koli.

Although, Koli has reportedly confessed to most of the killings, the CBI has little in his statements to implicate Pandher.

The chargesheet is expected to be filed within 10 days.

Without much scientific evidence and without a confession from Pandher, Koli's videotaped confession is more or less all that the CBI has.

Meanwhile, members in the Lok Sabha on Friday asked the Government to strengthen laws and their implementation to avoid recurrence of incidents like Nithari.

Raising the issue during Zero Hour, BJD leader Archana Nayak described the Nithari incident as a "national shame" and said the Government must take adequate measures to prevent such incidents in future.

She asked the Government to make laws more stringent and ensure that due punishment was given to culprits.
