Delhi has officially hit the ‘severe plus’, or emergency, category of air pollution, as the smog refused to abate, and the air quality index (AQI) stood at 493. A series of emergency measures have been laid out. Trucks, except those carrying essential commodities can no longer enter Delhi. Civil construction and demolition activities have to stop. And the odd-even rule may make a comeback.

The CBI delivered a strange twist to the Ryan International case where seven-year-old Pradyuman was murdered inside the school premises two months ago. A Class 11 student was apprehended for murdering the seven year old who the CBI says wanted his exams and a parent-teacher meeting postponed. The case seems to be replicating the investigation pattern in the Aarushi-Hemraj murder case.
