Nature, wildlife photographs on display

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A large number of nature and wildlife photographs by ‘Light and Shade’, an association of fine art photographers in the city are on display at Santhigiri Fest 2012.The objective is to create an awareness among the people on the importance of preserving nature and wildlife.  This is the first ever attempt of the ‘Light and Shade’ group for promoting such an awareness through photos and messages.“Our idea was to highlight the importance of protecting and preserving nature and wildlife for maintaining the ecological balance of our planet,” said T L John, founder of the association.John, who served the University of Kerala as an artist and photographer for 32 years, joined hands with many other talented artists and renowned photographers to form the association.  The association is steered by Vincy Lopez,president, and Biju Karakkonam, secretary.
