THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Nine warehouses from Kerala with a total capacity of 44,483 million tonnes have been registered with the Warehousing Development and Regulatory Authority (WDRA), which, in turn, will be distributed to the warehousemen by Chief Minister Oommen Chandy at a national conference here tomorrow. The national conference on Warehouse Receipt System is being organised by WDRA in association with FICCI. Addressing a press conference here on Friday, Dinesh Rai, chairman of WDRA, said 119 warehouses have been registered by the authority. ‘‘The authority has notified 40 agricultural commodities which include cereals, pulses, oil seeds for issuing negotiable warehouse. About 74 agricultural commodities which include Kerala-specific commodities such as spices are going to be notified soon by the authority,’’ he said.
