THANJAVUR: Sasikala’s husband Natarajan was arrested on Saturday from his residence at Besant Nagar in Chennai by Thanjavur police in a case relating to land grab and criminal intimidation. According to sources in Thanjavur, a farmer, Ramalingam has lodged a complaint stating that Natarajan had threatened him and grabbed a piece of land at Anbu Nagar in Vilar village along the Thanjavur bypass road. Ramalingam (67), son of Sengamala Servai, has given his 20-acre land, to a private company for advertisement purposes. However, Natarajan threatened Ramalingam and grabbed the land. He had set up a temporary shed for workers involved in the construction of a memorial for the victims of Mulli Vaikal in Sri Lanka, who died during the military offensive against the LTTE. Natarajan is expected to be brought from Chennai and produced before a magistrate here. Natarajan is the third member of Sasikala’s family to be arrested. Sasikala’s brother, Divakaran, was arrested in Tiruvarur district last month.
