N C Shekhar Award for M K Sanu

KANNUR: Prof M K Sanu has been selected for this Year’s N C Shekhar Award. The award was instituted in memory of Communist leader and freedom-fighter N C Shekhar.Addressing a news conference here on Wednesday, M V Govindan, chairman of the award committee and Erumeli Parameswaran Pillai, convenor of the committee, said that M K Sanu was selected for the award in view of his contributions to the literary and cultural progress of the state. The award carries a cash prize of `10,000 and a citation. The award will be presented to M K Sanu at a public function to be held here on December 3, informed the office-bearers of the award committee.
