Mumbai: A footwear shop was gutted in a fire at Linking road in Bandra suburban on Tuesday morning. The fire brigade got a call at 11.15 AM, after which eight fire engines and six water tankers were rushed to the spot.
There have been no reports of injuries in the blaze so far. Prima facie, the fire is suspected to have been caused due to a short-circuit in the shop which was closed when the mishap occurred, police said.
