HYDERABAD: A 40-year-old TDP youth leader who went missing two days ago was reportedly found murdered on Tuesday. While police did not confirm the murder, sources said a reporter working for a vernacular TV channel is a suspect in the case. Police are said to have detained a few persons for interrogation.Chandrasekhar Reddy, a TDP youth wing leader who lived in Nizampet and was into the real estate business, was reported missing since Sunday night. His wife Sujatha lodged a complaint with the KPHB police stating that he had left home in their car Sunday night with their daughter, whom he dropped at the NRI College hostel where she is an Intermediate student.Later, he had said he would visit a friend Sriramulu, a history-sheeter, in KPHB.He did not return home that night.The next day, Reddy's car was seized by the SR Nagar police when the driver lost control of the steering and crashed into the cellar of an apartment. The watchman of the apartment was injured in the incident and local people had a heated argument with the driver.The driver and another man in the car fled the place, abandoning the car.A few minutes after that incident, Reddy called up a TV reporter in Kukatpally and the photographer of a vernacular daily requesting them to get the the vehicle released from the police.The media personnel approached the SR Nagar police with a request to release the vehicle.On Tuesday morning, Chandrasekhar Reddy's wife tried to call him on his mobile phone but found it switched off. Alarmed, she lodged a missing complaint with the KPHB police, recording her suspicion that he might have been kidnapped by a local TDP leader B Ramesh, the history-sheeter Sriramulu and two media personnel.Rumours spread Tuesday that Reddy's body was found in a gunny bag at Yousufguda.The KPHB police received information that the body of a man was found stuffed in a gunny bag at Yousufguda. The KPHB police said they have made efforts to identify the body and detained a few persons for interrogation.Constable Dies in Divider CrashHYDERABAD: A 26-year-old constable died on the spot and his friend critically injured when their motorcycle crashed into a road divider in Cyberabad Tuesday.Police said constable G Prabhakar Reddy of the Tukaramgate police station -- under suspension for one year ago -- was riding the the bike with his friend Murali when the accident took place near the CPRI gate under the Medipally police station limits.Prabhakar died on the spot and Murali had to be hospitalised with grave injuries.
