Congress state vice-president and former MP Babban Rajbhar on Monday resigned from the party, alleging that the organisation had ignored backwards while deciding candidates for the Lok Sabha polls.
Congress state vice-president and former MP Babban Rajbhar on Monday resigned from the party, alleging that the organisation had ignored backwards while deciding candidates for the Lok Sabha polls.
"I have sent my resignation letter to party president Sonia Gandhi," Rajbhar said while talking to newspersons here.
Charging Congress with neglecting backwards, Rajbhar alleged, "In the list of candidates declared by the party so far, not a single backward nominee has found place."
Rajbhar, who was BSP MP from Salempur in 1999, was reportedly demanding Congress ticket from Ghosi seat, but the party has fielded Rashtra Kunwar from there.
