Jayalalithaa spared no effort to sell her state to Bill Gates, on the second day of his Chennai visit, in an effort to attract Microsoft's Software?s hard cash.
She held a video conference with teachers in four districts of the state, where Microsoft software is being used to teach children.
While Jayalalithaa wanted to know how computers helped the kids in studying, Bill Gates, the original software evangelist, simply seemed interested in understanding the future generation of Microsoft customers.
And while Bill Gates did not promise any investments in Tamil Nadu, Jayalalithaa is hoping that a a substantial portion of the 1.7 billion dollars Microsoft has earmarked for India will come into the state.
