CHENNAI: The first Metro Water open house meeting for the newly added areas of Chennai Corporation will be held on Saturday, according to Metro Water managing director Dr K Gopal.Gopal, who has also been elevated to the post of secretary of Social Welfare department, told Express that meetings will be conducted in the newly added metro water of Tiruvottiyur, Ma-nali, Madhavram, Ambattur, Valasaravakkam, Alandur, Perungudi and Sholinganallur.Consumers are requested to furnish their complaints regarding water supply and sewage removal. They can also clarify doubts regarding water, sewerage tax and water charges. “The area engineers will be attending the meeting and a register will be maintained on action being taken up. The cases will also be monitored,” he said. Last month, 56 petitions were received regarding water supply and sewage disposal and 47 have been rectified. Action is being taken on the others,” Gopal said.
