KOCHI: A meeting of Anglo-Indian nominated MLAs, MPs and leaders of other state organisations was held here under the aegis of the National Federation of Anglo-Indian Associations (NFAIA). The leaders urged the state governments and the Central Government to consider the demands of the Anglo-Indians as the governments were neglecting the Anglo-Indians and denying them the protections assured in the Constitution.The meet decided to submit a memorandum to the Central Government regarding the various demands of the community. The meeting has also decided to convene a national convention of Anglo-Indians in Delhi in November.Geoffrey Kenneth Francis, president of the National Federation of Anglo-Indian Associations, presided over the meeting.
