BERHAMPUR: An 11-year-old girl reportedly fell ill after having mid-day meal at Kasturaba Boarding School at Gopinathpur in Ganjam district. She is currently undergoing treatment at MKCG Medical here and the doctors have found a nail-shaped object in her stomach.The girl was halfway through her lunch when she complained of pain in the throat. She was immediately taken to Kanchudu hospital and later referred to MKCG Medical.While scanning her stomach, the doctors detected a nail-shaped object. Further investigations are on and she is being given oral doses of medicines.For the last one year, Nandi Foundation, a private firm, has been supplying cooked food to different schools in the district. The firm was recently accused of serving rotten eggs in a city school. While the allegation is being investigated, the Gopinathpur issue has led to discontentment among the people here.
